Flammable Material: Soulsavers

Posted by dancehallhips on October 22, 2007

Just got the new Soulsavers album, It’s Not How You Fall, It’s How You Land, and I’m lovin’ it. If you hadn’t heard, Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees and solo career fame was involved with the making of this CD, singing in 8 of the 11 tracks, co-writing a few as well. The album’s been described as a “unique mix of hip-hop, rock, country, soul & gospel.”

Killer combination of rock, soul, blues, gospel, hip-hop and country. Mark Lanegan’s voice brings a much needed REVIVAL (no pun intended) to the once great sound of the father’s of rock/country music such as Johnny Cash. Loved all tracks, each one gave me a different vision and outlook and I believe everyone should be listening to this record…. at least once!!!!
