That’s right, Dance Hall Hips has a pair of 2-Day passes at its disposal and would love to make your weekend by sending you to Seattle’s own Capitol Hill Block Party!
How can you land this lovely pair? Send a haiku (subject of your choosing), along with your full name (first & last), to dancehallhips@gmail.com. The winner will be contacted, with further details.

Seattle’s annual Capitol Hill Block Party is this Friday and Saturday! This year great local bands will more than likely outshine the national acts. Thanks to the magic of temp work and long hours, I’ll be missing a good chunk of the festival, but I’ll still catch whatever bands I can catch.
Maybe I’ll suffer an on-the-job injury and be forced to leave work early…
A writeup on the Saturday Knights is insanely overdue. The Seattle-based group is another gem from the Light in the Attic label (see also: The Black Angels, The Blakes), offering a twisted blend of rhymes, shoegaze-era riffs, and electronic beats. The combination is a difficult skill to master, and a band of lesser talent could easily turn out mush if attempting the same feat. “Dog Park” is the band’s latest single, off Mingle.
