Different Names for the Same Obsession

I’ve been doing some reading up on Death Cab’s latest efforts, and needless to say, I’m hopeful. In an interview Chris Walla admitted Plans was a result of what they thought other people wanted, compared to Narrow Stairs which is made without anyone in mind other than themselves.

It’s been said this album’s a “curveball”. Who else threw a curve ball? Radiohead, that’s who. OK Computer was huge and then they came out of left field and dropped both Kid A and Amnesiac. Now, maybe I’m comparing apples to oranges, but change isn’t always bad.
