Getting Schooled

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. The semester is winding down with only a few weeks to go and things have gotten crazy. I’ve got a lot of mp3’s I’ve listened to, a lot of CD’s I’ve ripped from whatever I’ve gotten in the mail, and a hell of a lot of tracks to still hear. My plate’s pretty full right now and I just haven’t been able to eat lately. Hope this rarity of sorts makes up for it.

Going Soft

I recently recieved an album from a band named Soft. I found their pop-sensibility and catch factors charming. Indie meets pop in an acceptable, listenable fashion. Here’s two of my favorite tracks off their latest album, Gone Faded.

Touched by CSS

So if you haven’t heard of ‘em a month ago, you’ve heard of ‘em now. CSS. Yeah, they’re responsible for that goofy song about music being their boyfriends on the latest iPod touch commercial. CSS (or Cansei De Ser Sexy for long) has certainly been a band that’s taken time to grow on me, but this track has certainly become one of my favorites of theirs. I probably should be happy for this blip of success, but in the back of my snobby head I want to scream “THAT’S MY MUSIC!!!”
